A Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a Psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located 45 miles southeast of the state Capital in Providence, Rhode Island.

About the clinician's workday

This is a part-time, on-site psychiatric position covering a vacancy, requiring board certification and supervision. The role involves working two 5-hour shifts per week (10 hours total), with Wednesday as a mandatory day and the second day flexible. There are no on-call responsibilities. The provider will treat patients of all ages, primarily for dual diagnosis and general mental health conditions. Caseload includes 35 patients per day, with 1.5 hours allotted for initial evaluations and 2030 minutes for follow-ups. The practice uses the Echo EMR system, and the clinical team includes 2 APRNs and 4 psychiatrists. Credentialing takes approximately 30 days, with no emergency credentialing or Livescan noted. The payer mix includes Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. Expenses are not covered by the facility.
