Education Requirement:
• MS or PhD in Radiology/Radiological Sciences required
Board Certification Requirements:
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Therapeutic Medical Physics
• Must be US Board Eligible or Board Certified through:
• American Board of Radiology (ABR)
• American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP)
Licensure Requirements:
• Iowa license required or willingness to obtain
• Must be willing to become registered in Iowa as a Radiation Therapy Physicist
Documentation Required:
• Updated CV with detailed work history
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days)
• Clean malpractice history
Candidate Restrictions:
• No Locums candidates
• No 1099 candidates
• No visa sponsorship available
• No candidates with lapsed board certification
• No providers commuting long distances (greater than 1 hour)
• No providers working concurrent outside jobs
📋 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Radiation Oncology Physics Support: Provide safe therapeutic radiological physics support to the Radiation Oncology Department.
Quality Assurance: Participate in patient-specific QA, chart QA, linear accelerator QA, treatment plan reviews, and safety protocols.
Technology & Equipment Management: Assist with calibration, commissioning, and implementation of radiation therapy technologies and equipment.
Collaborative Clinical Support: Work closely with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, Radiation Therapists, and Medical Oncology teams.
Patient Care & Safety: Ensure regulatory compliance, treatment accuracy, and quality patient care standards.

Practice Setting: Outpatient Radiation Oncology Clinic

• ARIA Record & Verify
• Eclipse Planning Software
• Tomoplan Software
Equipment Includes:
• TomoTherapy Hi-Art
• Varian TrueBeam
Coverage Structure:
• Full-time schedule
• No weekend schedule
• Shared 1:2 call rotation
