Contract End Date: July 31, 2027
Coverage Needed: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Call: No call
Patient Population: Adults
Clinical Responsibilities
The physician will participate in:

Routine radiation oncology clinic operations
Radiation oncology consultations
Occasional inpatient consultations
Tumor board
Chart rounds
Follow-up visits
Treatment planning and management
Patient Volume
Average treatment volume: 14 patients per day
Approximately 8 consultations per week
Approximately 20 follow-up visits
Inpatient consultations are rare

SRS and HDR/LDR are available at the York facility

This is a comprehensive cancer center offering:

Hematology/oncology
Infusion services
Palliative medicine
Radiation oncology services
The facility is a 100-bed hospital.

Support Staff
The physician will work with an experienced, multidisciplinary team that includes:

Oncology-certified registered nurse
Physician access assistant
Dietician
Social worker
Financial counselor
1 onsite physicist
1 onsite dosimetrist
3.6 radiation therapists
4 radiation therapists with an average of more than 25 years of experience

GE large-bore CT scanner
LAP laser

Eclipse treatment planning system

Medical Record System
EMR: Epic
Requirements
Board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology
Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) in hand
DEA registration required
Minimum of 1 year of experience
Clean file preferred for expedited credentialing
Credentialing
Temporary privileges may be available for providers with a clean file.
Active PA license or IMLC LOQ in hand is required.
Job Responsibilities
Provide radiation oncology care to adult patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
Conduct approximately 8 new patient consultations per week.
Manage approximately 20 follow-up visits per week.
Oversee the treatment of an average of 14 patients per day.
Participate in routine radiation oncology operations.
Provide occasional inpatient radiation oncology consultations.
Participate in tumor boards.
Attend chart rounds.
Develop and oversee radiation treatment plans.
Perform and manage advanced radiation oncology procedures, including:
Lung SBRT
SBRT
APBI
DIBH
SRS, as applicable
Collaborate with radiation therapists, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other oncology support staff.
Provide comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care in coordination with hematology/oncology, infusion services, and palliative medicine teams.
Document patient care and treatment plans in Epic and MOSAIQ.
Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no call responsibilities.

  • Veteran Support Staff including 4 Radiation Therapists averaging over 25 years of Experience, an Oncology RN, Physician Access Assistant, and Dietician
  • Average Patient Volume, 14 Patients/Day, 8 Consults/week, and 20 Follow Ups/Week
