Rheumatologist needed in San Mateo, CA! $215/hour +travel

Start Date: 01/08/2025
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift Details: (2) 4-hours shifts per week
Schedule: Monday and Tuesday morning 8a-12p; POSSIBLE call on Monday nights but rare and not required.
Work Details:
• Support staff: Heavy nursing support
• Amount of coverage needed per month: (2) 4-hours shifts per week
• Patients per day: will start with 6 patients, and it will increase to 12 once the patients are no longer “new” to the locum provider.
• Patient population/age: Adult
• Department description: Rheumatology
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital bed size: 448
• Special procedures: N/A
• Skills required: acute and chronic disease management, joint injections, consultation requests, check on meds, stabilize and transition back to primary care physician

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Board Certification or Board Eligible (within 5 years of training) in Rheumatology
• DEA: Yes
• CSR: No
• Certifications required: N/A
• Minimum experience required: 1 – 2 years preferred
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days

• 13 weeks with option to extend
• No weekends or call
