Washington Rheumatology Locums - 4-Day Week, No Call

Job description

Aya Locums is recruiting a Rheumatologist for an ongoing assignment in Washington beginning in January 2027.

This is a primarily outpatient, hospital-based clinic role with a Monday - Thursday schedule from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and no call. The physician will see approximately 16-18 patients per day for Rheumatology consultations and follow-up visits. No procedures are required.

The practice uses Epic and provides MA and receptionist support. The physician will primarily provide outpatient clinic coverage, with occasional inpatient Rheumatology consultation if a hospital-based need arises.

Coverage is expected for approximately 8-9 months. The client prefers consistent 0.8 FTE coverage but will consider physicians who can provide at least two weeks per month.

Candidates should have completed Rheumatology fellowship training and meet the client's Internal Medicine board requirements. Recent fellowship graduates may be considered based on overall fit.

Physicians already licensed in Washington are encouraged to apply. Candidates with an active IMLC LOQ or who qualify for the IMLC may also be considered for Washington licensing.
