Wound Care NP Needed in West Virginia - New Grads Accepted - Will License with Compact

Job description

A hospital-based wound care center in West Virginia is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment starting in September. The facility is open to both part-time and full-time candidates, with flexible scheduling and support from an experienced clinical team.

Position Details:
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential to extend
• Schedule Options: Part-Time and Full-Time Scheduling Options
• Setting: Outpatient wound care clinic
• Patient Volume: Avg. 7 patients per 8-hour shift
• EMR: Meditech
• Support Team: Podiatrist, RNs (clinical coordinator + RN), and scheduler/coordinator
• Trauma Level: IV

Clinical Skills Required:
• Wound care for diabetic patients
• Surgical and mechanical debridement
• Total contact casting
• Multi-layer compression
• Cellular matrix substitutes

Requirements:
• Active West Virginia license or Compact license accepted
• DEA required
• West Virginia CSR required
• Minimum 1 year of wound care experience (new grads may be considered)
